Jacqui Sirois is an actor, singer and director currently residing in New York City. Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Jacqui has always had a flair for the dramatics and a keen ear for music. Jacqui moved to New York City in 2015 to pursue a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance with a specialization in Music Theatre at New York University. Since moving to New York, Jacqui has appeared in productions of Life of the Party (written by Nell Benjamin and Larry O'Keefe), Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Pins & Needles and Feste in Twelfth Night

 

 

Jacqui is an alumni of Etobicoke School of the Arts, Music Theatre program where she appeared in numerous productions and the award-winning showchoir, SPLASH. Jacqui also appeared in productions as Millie in Throroughly Modern Millie, Janet van de Graaff in The Drowsy Chaperone, and Little Sally in Urinetown. Jacqui earned her undergraduate degree from Queen’s University with a major in Drama and minor Music, where she studied voice in the studio of Bruce Kelly. She appeared in various productions with the Department of Drama and Queen's Musical Theatre (QMT) including  Sweeney Todd, Assassins, and Spamalot. She also directed the much-buzzed about cabaret Beco[me] and the Canadian student premiere of Dogfight with QMT. Upon graduation from Queen's,  Jacqui was awarded the Edythe Zacks Millman Prize for Performance, the Chamber Music Prize and the Edward Somppei Award.
