Let’s get singing!

I want to let you in on a little secret: I used to hate singing by myself.

It wasn’t until I started taking voice lessons consistently that I acquired a great foundation for singing and the confidence to help me achieve my best results as a well-rounded performer. Taking voice lessons taught me discipline that I have carried with me for many years of post-secondary education and eventually led me to pursue a career professionally in New York City.

So, whether you’re just starting your singing journey or have years of experience, I am happy to help you work towards your performance goals, big or small! I provide a range of services to help you advance your personal growth as an artist.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

As a vocal coach, my mission is to meet every student where they are—not only vocally, but also mentally and emotionally. I understand that every singer brings a unique set of experiences, strengths, and challenges, and I believe in creating a supportive and collaborative environment that encourages growth at each individual's own pace.

At the core of my teaching is the belief that authenticity is key. I value helping my students discover and embrace their true voice, rather than forcing it to fit into a mold. By honoring who you are as a person and performer, we can explore what your voice can do naturally, and work to expand that with a healthy, well-rounded technique.

In my lessons, I prioritize safe vocalism to reduce strain and promote longevity. My approach focuses on proper breath control, increasing airflow, and enhancing resonance, all while fostering vocal coordination. These tools not only improve endurance and vocal quality, but also allow you to sing across various genres—whether you’re preparing for musical theatre, pop, rock, or classical repertoire.

With nearly two decades of vocal study and a diverse education in musical theatre, I offer specialized guidance in this genre, while also supporting students working in pop, rock, and classical styles. I love collaborating with singers to find repertoire that not only suits their vocal skill level but also reflects their professional brand and personal identity as artists.

Above all, I am passionate about sharing the knowledge I’ve gained through my own education and professional experience to help you achieve your goals, big or small. Whether you’re just starting your vocal journey or are looking to refine your craft, I am excited to guide you on your path to becoming a well-rounded and confident performer.
